I'm going to try to get back to "normal" even if it is different.
Things will always be different now but I need routine.
I still have things to do as far as the house. We're having a "party" for Mom, as per her last wishes and will. I am asking for help because my family is poor and her small policy is paying off some bills. If you can help with any amount please PayPal gsleadersnell@yahoo.com with MOM in notes. I don't like putting this here but it's the final act to honor my mother.
She also didn't want flowers. She wanted people to help the rescue. Y'all already know how to do that. If you do donate to the rescue please put MOM in notes as well.
How do you sum up an entire life in a few paragraphs? You can't. My mother was that, a daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a Girl Scout and a Marine. She loved animals, science fiction, and poetry. She didn't judge anyone for anything except what was in their heart. There was so much more than just these few things to her. I hope I can honor her memory well at her party. My aunt has already made arrangements for military honors.
So I move forward now to wrap up everything and continue with life. It's just smaller in this world without her but I am not overwhelmed with grief because she suffered so long. Now her fight is over and she can rest in peace.
I saw her so much looking sick and aging but this photo is how I will remember her; looking like a teen mom (she's 30 here) and loving me.
