Sugar has been confirmed with FIP.
I was trying to NOT be afraid of this but she has fluid in her chest and her labs show it.
Before anyone starts about it being contagious, it is NOT. Most every cat that has been outside has been exposed to feline coronavirus and 3-5% are genetically predispositioned for it to mutate into FIP. I don't know how long she lived outside but long enough to get FIV and that in itself is enough to cause the mutation in her.
She has fluid in her chest and I left her so they could drain off as much as possible.
FIV cats can be cured like any other cat so I BEG! PLEASE HELP ME SAVE HER! I have meds to start and I'm waiting to hear back from the group admins.
Yes, I'm in tears. Yes, I'm completely upset! But please, $1 or $5 from a lot of people will make a difference! She is so good, sweet, and quiet. Please help her. She's only 4.
