Today was just horrible.
I expected the FIP diagnosis. I didn't expect that our sweet Benny, the guinea pig, would cross the Bridge. I didn't expect to find out a lifelong friend has stage 4 lung cancer. So, yeah, I finally did cry. F*&% this day.
BUT I know what to do for Mickey. I gave her the FIP Mohawk so it will be easier than Markus was. He just looked like he got skipped bad! She's not very strong right now so she didn't fight at all.
She took her first shot really well! I know that won't last so I enjoy the moment. The FIP PTSD will set in at some point, I'm sure. There will be good days and bad days. She's not as bad as Markus was so I hope she'll respond just as well as he did. But always remember, there are no guarantees.
Now Helen had a condition that not even the owner had ever seen. You can read it on the invoice but basically it was a sac/gland filled with milk! Dr Floyd drained it but if it comes back she'll have to remove it.
I'm extremely grateful for the donations, shares, and thoughts. I ordered sharps and syringes. I'll order the meds tomorrow.
I'm sure I missed something but I have a massive headache and my phone is dying.
Thank you for helping another kitten fight FIP. #FIPwarriorMickey
