Not how I planned on ending a quiet Saturday.....
Some teens called about a cat with a broken leg. He was in the bushes on Hwy 6. He's emaciated and I suspect this is more than a broken leg. His leg may not be broken but he can't walk. He is pulling himself and trying to move.
He had an old flea collar on so that tells me he was a pet at some point but this poor guy has been on the street a long time. He has fresh wounds on his feet so it's possible he was hit but his body condition didn't happen overnight. He's not eating so he may be at end stage of feline leukemia. His temperature is 97.4 and he only weighs 5lbs 13ozs. He is isolated in the powder room.
He's very tame and I know he's happy to be safe. If he is here to have a place to make his journey then so be it but if he can make it to Monday I'll get him in and do whatever is possible.
His name is Gordon after the kid that found him.
I don't know what kind of cost I'm looking at but please help if you can.
