Gia is in ER in an oxygen chamber.
He is critical.
Dr gave him a sedative to calm him and he's breathing better now. I wait now for a call from the next doctor.
Lots of conditions possible thrown at me. Most of them equate to quality of life. They want to do blood work and x-ray but I didn't have enough to put down on the deposit.
This IS the premier specialist in my area. They did his surgery. But they want their money upfront. I gave $1000. It's all I had. They wanted $2000. They also want to transfer him to critical care. So they want more money.
I have 2 choices: make sure he's stable and take him back to my vet OR find the funds to keep him there until they can give me answers. And the answer might very well be to let him go.
I went to 2 other facilities; the first one saying they couldn't take him because the vet was doing a procedure and then to the 24 hour vet that told me that I had to take him to GCVS which is where he is. I had to buy a canister of oxygen from the 24 hour vet to help him breathe easier to get to GCVS.
So I don't have any answers to what's gone wrong and, regardless of him staying there or me bringing him to my vet, I still need funds. And I may lose him no matter what. I wish I could tell you more but that's all I know.
Please don't go on about how they just want money. Please don't tell me so-and-so only charges X amount. None of that will help. GCVS is the only place that would even take him and they have the latest in pharmacy and technology. I would rather have him at my own vet but they may not be able to determine what's going on.
I don't know what to do except beg for help again. But, know, he may not make it no matter if I was Bezos/Musk rich. I am trying to prepare myself.
It's almost 5am. I haven't slept. I'm right back where I was 3 years ago with Gia in an oxygen chamber only now he only has 1 lung and something is going terribly wrong.
