Mom Carla~
2 days of vet! Yesterday I spent 3 hours there with the 5 loafs and Coco-puff. So all 5 have ringworm but I had already started treating them 3 days ago. Toby tested positive for coccidia so all 5 are on meds. Probably why the other medication wasn't working on the horrible poop.
Coco's ringworm has cleared and she just has 3 days left on medication. Her eye is improving as well. All 6 got their shots including rabies.
Today I took Markus's "sisters" in. Mickey and Gabby are not his biological sisters but they were all nursing from the same mom along with Jessikat before being rescued. Both girls have URI. As they were all exposed to corona virus I can't help but be paranoid that they could develop FIP.
Dr Floyd gave them dex and Convenia shots and they will take a round of Veraflox. She doesn't think it's FIP but if they aren't markedly improved in 48 hours we will need to do blood work.
It has also been decided to keep Markus on antibiotics for the rest of his treatment. With a weakened immune system from the FIP and the bipolar Texas weather he is susceptible to URI. With his blood work and (hopefully) neuter next Friday he needs to be as healthy as possible.
There was a very generous amount called into the vet and the vet bill yesterday got all of that. After the visit today we have $860 left in funds but most of that is for Markus. I should have a fundraiser check soon but don't know for sure when.
I'm asking but not asking for help. I'm just hoping with Giving Tuesday coming up that people will think of Tuxie's Legacy. And food/litter donations are always welcome. It's hard for everyone everywhere but we get through somehow. I don't always have what I want but I always have what I need. Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers and support through a very hard year!
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
