New week, new thrills! Oh, I really hope no new thrills.
Hendrix continues to be the same. He did start latching on for feedings but it's sporadic. Still a slight improvement. His little nose remains swollen but maybe slightly better. He still weighs the same. He does enjoy his walks in the pen and he's set up at home with one as well.
Next week is labs for Mickey and Sugar. Both are doing great and I don't anticipate any further extensions for Mickey.
The older kittens are happy having each other and pile up together when they sleep. I'm thinking about moving them in with Pixie for more space. She's not aggressive with other cats but I'll have run a trial first.
Gia is doing well and being active but I still monitor his breathing. Sometimes he gets too worked up and zooms too much. I have accepted that he will probably never leave my room again. Maybe as he gets older he'll mellow out but for now he's The Goblin King of the Bedroom.
I'm trying very hard to not ask for help but it's always needed in some way. Please help however you can. I appreciate anything always . It's a constant battle to remain above water so to to speak. All rescues are struggling.
People are calling and emailing daily about kittens they've found. It's impossible to keep up with this and I wish those that find them would do their part and take care of them.
But I can't stretch myself any further. I have just said NO again and it hurts but I can do no more.
SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR CATS AND DOGS!
Rescues shouldn't have to be in the situation of saying this!
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
