I've had an exhausting day.
This will be the last exclusively Negan post. He is home. I didn't do so great expressing him but the nurse did. I'll try harder in the morning. Literally, I'm not squeezing hard enough because I'm afraid to hurt him.
He has 6 meds to take twice a day. He takes them very well. I cleaned him with baby wipes and rubbed his scald down with coconut oil. He really enjoys being brushed!
He jerked his foot away at one point! His legs are much looser now but his muscles are severely atrophied. His upper body strength is amazing! Everything is healing. I don't know that he will ever be able to walk. He's still recovering from the tetanus. Maybe he'll be walking one day but not any time soon.
His spinal issues are undetermined and we're not sure how much they affect his current condition. It IS certain that he's not in pain. The ulcer on his paw is healing well and Dr Floyd is pretty sure it's pododermatitis.
Overall, it's a miracle that he's alive. He seems to be doing better than the day I got him and he purrs for scritches. I don't know how much time he may have but I will give him the best possible.
Thank you for helping me save him. Thank you for believing that he deserves a chance even if he can't walk.
Thank you for caring about one little street cat in a world with too many.
Be pawsome! Do pawsome! This is the way.
