I usually don't post human stuff here but I have to say thank you.
Last night my mother had a seizure, never had one before. My brother called 911 and I rushed over to their house. My mother uses the VA but lives 4 blocks from a major hospital and I told EMS to take her there instead because we weren't sure if it was a stroke and time is critical.
Long story short, she is OK and CT was negative for stroke. But ER takes a long time on a Friday night so we were there for a while.
Her nurse had a kitty scrub hat and I told her I liked it. She said she loves cats and I said I have a cat rescue. She asked the name and when I told her she said she follows our page!
Mom's nurse was a lady who has been on here for years! I knew her by name! Very small world!
Thank you, Nurse Pauline! Thank you for taking care of my mom and for loving kitties! Tuxie still works his magic! 😻
PS: my mom is OK, completely coherent, and I took her home around 1am.
She will follow up with her primary care doctor on Monday.
