Today is the big day: Markus gets his neuter.
I have no doubt that he will do great. My concern is surgery could cause a relapse.
During this nightmare experience I've learned a lot about FIP. Once the corona virus is in a cat any physical "trauma" can mutate the virus to FIP. Even getting shots can cause it to happen. Markus started getting sick after his rabies shot. Maybe he was already getting sick but no one will ever know why he had to be part of the 3% that develop this horrible thing.
He is strong now. He is full of energy and thriving. I hope his strength is enough to get through this without him regressing.
But today and the next 28 days I will beg for all good thoughts for my precious warrior. Please wrap him in healing and protection. Let him have a full recovery and a long, happy life.
